Lisa’s passion in teaching started 10 years ago when she was tutoring part time with 4 students during the weekends.
In 2016, Lisa hit a major turning point in her career and she made the conscious decision to transit full time as a private tutor.
Soon, she grew her student base and has helped more than 80 students achieve their desired results.

Teaching Methodology
Analysis
The first lesson with Lisa is the analysis phase where Lisa will employ a variety of methods such as Q&A and Practice Exams to assess the learning needs of a students. An overall framework will be setup for future lessons.
Framework
Framework will take into consideration parent’s and student’s opinions to build upon Lisa’s analysis. Strengths and weaknesses will be quickly highlighted.
Bridging
Bridging will take up the bulk of the methodology as this is the most time consumming process where every lesson is meticuously planned and calculated to maximise efficient learning while keeping relevance to the current syllabus taught in school.

JC H1/2 Biology
Limited intake per year. 1 to 1 only with all learning materials provided.
Lesson structure: Lecture, Q&A, tutorial, Paper 1 to 3 examination practice with marking scheme and answer breakdown, full practical exam walkthrough (dry lab only)
Y1-4 IP Biology
Limited intake per year. 1 to 1 only with some learning materials provided.
Lesson structure: Q&A style with applications discussions. Tutorial questions marked prior to each class.
Lower Sec Science
Group and private 1 to 1 class available. All learning materials provided.
Lesson structure: Lecture with lesson notes, personalised exam practice papers, targeted practice with curated questions, full question walkthroughs.

P3 to 6 Science
This is a signature program with the ability to cater to international students who require bilingual English – Chinese explanations.
Group and 1 to 1 class available. All learning materials are provided.
Lesson structure: Lecture with signature lesson notes in full colour, extensive practice questions, full question walkthroughs, personalised practice exam for each milestone test, WA and SA.
P3 to P6 Maths
Group and 1 to 1 class available. All learning materials are provided.
Lesson structure: Lecture with full question walkthroughs, heuristics practice, full practice exams for milestone test, WA and SA.
P1 to P6 English
Group and 1 to 1 class available. All learning materials are provided.
Lesson structure: Compo writing skills, practice questions, discussion and storytime, spelling and vocabulary, sentence construction, comprehension skills and strategies.
Meet Lisa
Who is Lisa?
Lisa began her career in 2008 as a Medical Technologist. She achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology from the University of Western Australia.
She progressed to work in A*STAR in the Institute of Medical Biology with the Laboratory of Human Genetics, specializing in Genetic Orphan diseases.
Her experience in A*STAR fueled her curiosity in genetic diseases that had led her to explore medical experiences in KKH and SGH as a doctor’s shadow.
She realised that while these multitudes of experiences were exciting and fun, helping students to reach their goals and dreams kept her fulfilled and passionate in life.
